We meet at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church on most Fridays at 7PM. Join us to see what our Family Pack is about!
Are you the point-of-contact (POC) for an upcoming Pack event?
See below for a "cheat sheet" of how to make the event a success.
Thank you for your service to our scouts.
POINT-OF-CONTACT, ¨POC¨ RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Pack Committee Chair and Cubmaster may select an individual to serve as a point-of-contact or ¨POC” for a given event or other program.
The responsibilities of an event POC include:
Work with the Cubmaster and Committee Chair to ensure that the event appropriately reflects the spirit of the Pack and Scouts BSA. Reference BSA Guide to Safe Scouting as needed.
Create a schedule for the event at least one month prior to the event.
Allot time for the Cubmaster and Advancement Chair to present awards, as needed.
Allot time for a flag ceremony and invocation, at the discretion of the Cubmaster.
Make reservations as needed.
Share essential information with the Pack Committee at least one month in advance, so that the Secretary can make a timely Scoutbook event and include it in the monthly newsletter. Solicit Committee input as needed.
Consult with the Treasurer regarding a budget for the event.
Coordinate any food or beverage needs with the Social Chair.
Monitor RSVPs to the Scoutbook event and adjust plans as needed.
Inform Pack Committee members of any changes as they come about.
At least one week prior to the event, ensure that there are enough adult leaders and volunteers to set up, run, and take down the event. If there are not enough volunteers, contact the Cubmaster and Committee Chair.
